Supporting Arab Writers

REALIGNING A BROKEN PUBLISHING INDUSTRY IN THE MIDDLE EAST

It is common knowledge in the Middle East that Arabs don't read.  Researching into this claim has concluded that it is not true.  Arabs do read.  As evident by the growth of the internet specially social networks amongst Arabs.

At Lukemani, we believe this problem is the result of the type of material that is available in the publishing industry.  As we have spoken with many avid reader (mostly readying English material), they are not interested in the subjects that are offered.  These subjects do not reflect any current interests whether it fiction or non-fiction. The problem starts with the writers and publishers, not readers.

We are working closely with writers to design, publish, and distribute Arabic content that is current and reflect readers interests.  We are starting with two publishing coming soon summer of 2014.
